“The Matter Out of Place” aims to depict the effect of decay, that objects, monuments, or sculptures are being overtaken by nature. Although the regions captured in the reference images are accessible to Western tourists and Russians, they remain out of reach for Georgian citizens and internally displaced persons residing in Georgia.
